Julie, While not commenting on the exact details of your episiotomy one of the doctors appears to have done that I thought that you might like to know that the healing from an episiotomy can take a while. I had just a normal episiotomy with the birth of my first child. There was nothing special about it yet it required approx nine months to heal. It had to be treated with silver nitrate (I think that was what they used) during the healing process. I felt pain during intercourse for the full nine months. However in the end the pain did go away and everything returned to normal. As suggusted please go see a doctor but also be patient as at 5 months post partum I was still in pain yet today I am fine (although 34 weeks pregnant with number 2).
