I had my daughter by c-section on July 25th, 1999. My incision is taking a long time to heal in a certain spot and it's hard around the scar. My doctor said to just keep it clean and watch for infection, but it's been almost six weeks and it still isn't healing. Doctors told me to wash it with soap and water, but I have heard that it's not supposed to be washed and towel dried until it's completely healed. I'm wondering if that has anything to do with the healing process. Do you have any suggestions?
