My Urologist removed it by going in through the natural opening with a tiny camera and some tools and "blasted" it. The stent stayed in for a couple of weeks and I did have some preterm labor. My son was born 5 days late by C-section (it wasn't a result of the kidney stone} Maybe this is an option for you. Be sure that they give you plenty of IV fluid. No one knew how exactly how to deal with me and my condition so I was only given the amount of fluid a non-pregnant woman would need. The dehydration led to the contractions. I am pregnant again and quite scared this could happen again. Good luck to you!! pregnancy.
