painless twinges in lower abdomen?From: Renee (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 27 Aug 1999 13:44:34 -0500 (CDT)
My OB/GYN has prescribed clomid to induce ovulation. I have been using it every cycle since Feb 99. 150mg (3 pills a day for 5 days) was successful in May, I ovulated that is, no pregnancy. But, the second and now third time 150mg did not work. Today, my Dr increased the dosage to 200mg. Bloodwork was taken 8/23 to check progesterone level. Which came back negative. Is it possible that I could have ovualted AFTER? I only ask because for 2 days (8/21 & 8/22) I experienced painless twinges in my lower right abdomen. which, I've read could POSSIBLY be a sign of ovulation. Today, when the Dr examined me, he did say that my right side was more swollen than the left. But had nothing else to say about it. I also, for the past year, have noticed a whitish-clear breast discharge when I apply pressure. could this be a sign of a hormonal disorder causing infertility? Dr checked my prolactin level, but it was OK. Please help!!
