Re: NEED ADVISE ANYONE!!how long before should you try again after a miscarriageFrom: JoAnn (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 27 Aug 1999 13:20:07 -0500 (CDT)
After the still birth of our son, Elliot, we were advised to wait two cycles (which happened to be three months for us). I can say know that I'm glad we did wait (although we tried and got pregnant the first month thereafter!). My body needed the time to become normal again, I needed the time to learn to "trust my body" again, and more importantly, we (my husband and myself) needed time to be together again. What the others have advised are very good recommendations. Remember that it may take a month or two for your cycles to resume. There is often a disconnect between the time span of a month (3 months per the ER doctor) and when your cycles will resume (1 to 2 cycles per your midwife). Ultimately, however, it is a very personal decision. Take the time to think things through carefully. Best of luck, JoAnn
