pain after periods

Can anyone tell me if it's normal to have sharp pains and cramping a week after they have there periods,(when there periods stop) This is my second period after 11/2 years with not having ovulated. I also only had a bleed for 2 days. I have been trying to conceive, but on a day 29 blood test for hcg it showed neg,, I am now at day 40 dpo and am having really sore stomach pains/cramp. Does this neg blood test mean I am definatley not pregnant - also my chest does'nt feel any different.
