I also got my period on July 28th and have close to the same cycle as you. I really should get my period on the 31st, but just really had a feeling that I was pregnant, so I took a test exactly a week before my expected period and it was positive. I have heard that the tests are very sensitive and will pick up the hcg level as early as a week after ovulation, in my case it was true. I know how anxious you are, I also had a miscarriage, two actually, and I have been trying to get pregnant. I think you could probably take the test now.
