I'm getting scared. Can anyone help? The bloating is probably a good sign -- progesterone make a lot of women bloated and constipated and adequate progesterone is necessary to maintain an early pregnancy. Vague discomfort of hte "I feel like I'm gonna get my period" sort are also very common in early pregnancy as the uterus begins to stretch. Being especially sensitive to the concerns of women who have had a prior miscarrigae (I had 2 before my wonderful daughter was born), I usually offer my patients a quick office ultrasound if they have any concerns. This is not considered standard of care and many docs don't so it, but since I've been there, I know how reassuring it can be. Good luck!
