I was wondering, does this increase my odds of having breach children Jenny, I wonder if the reason she had breech babies was because of the type of pelvis she had. Some woman have a pelvis that the baby is only comfortable breech in. This does not mean that you are going to have the same occurance. It depends on the individual.....you may not have inherited the same pevic shape. I would clue the midwife/OB in to your mother's past and have them definetly keep checking for the baby's position up until delivery. The second step would be to maybe ask ahead of time if they will do a breech delivery. A breech baby doesn't allows mean a C/S. Babys are delivered vaginal breech all the time. And thirdly, there are several techniques to turn a breech baby before delivery. This could be months, weeks or even the day of labor. Educate yourself and don't just take what people tell you is going to happen.
