Reply: Marshella: "Re: Breach births inherited?" My mother had a breech delivery with both her children. I was wondering, does this increase my odds of having breach children? Her deliveries were about 27 years ago, and the doctor did not realize they were breach until she was delivering. I am pondering a home water birth, and would seriously rethink this if I thought there was a good chance of unknowingly delivering breach at home. My mother is just sure I'll have the same problems she had, making her very anxious at the mention of a home birth. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. -- Thanks!
