Re: EXTREME Hip and Pelvic Pain in 4th month (started in 2nd month)From: anonymous@obgyn.netFri, 13 Aug 1999 09:14:13 EDT
In a message dated 08/12/1999 8:46:36 PM Central Daylight Time, gixer@worldnet.att.net writes: << My OB/Gyn is concerned but does not know what it is making it this extreme. She sent me to an Orthopedic Dr who took a single X-ray (at her advice) and says that it is not related to the bones of the hips or at least nothing looks out of wack. If anyone has any ideas at all, please share! Thank you! Gloria
>> Could it possibly be sacroiliac joint disfunction? This would not show up on X-rays but can be diagnosed by a good physical therapist or Chiropractor. It's when the joint that connect your backbone to your hip loses its natural movement. It causes pain in the hip, buttocks and all around the hip capsule. Sometimes, the pain goes down the leg a little too. I've had this with my last few pregnancies, I know how painful it can be! JMJ+ Kirsten Currie
