Can you have an LH surge and not ovulate? Please respond. From: Julie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 9 Aug 1999 13:48:51 -0500 (CDT)
I am wondering - is it possible to detect an LH surge using the ovulation predictor kits, and not actually ovulate? This past time, I wasn't even sure if I actually got a positive result, and it didn't appear when I thought it should according to my cervical mucas. We tried very hard to conceive, and here I am having cramps, about ready to start my period - again. I am very discouraged and very sad, too. If I am not ovulating, I'd like to know so we don't get disappointed every month. (I had a miscarriage and D&C in February - my first.) Thanks to anyone who can offer any information.
