Re: Discrepancy over dates

Hi,

I wouldn't worry about the dates. I measured large through-out all my pregnancies (4!). My doctor only becomes worried if there is a big discrepancy. Your baby may be big right now and then in a few weeks his/her growth may slow down. Hope this helps.

P.S. Have you had an US recently. That could ease your fears and let you how big the baby really is.

Perhaps someone could help. According to my dates, I am now 19 weeks pregnant. Yesterday at my ante natal check up, the midwife put my fundal height at 22 weeks. This seems to be a big discrepancy. Does it mean that the baby is enormous?! Perhaps it just means that I am carrying a lot of fluid? What is the most common reason for this kind of discrepancy?

Thanks.
