Re: Dr. WDMcintoshFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netWed, 4 Aug 1999 15:04:23 EDT
To DR. WDMcIntosh, I am 30 weeks pregnant. I was having cramps and lower abdominal pain and pressure the other day. My dr. sent me to labor and delivery. The monitor showed that I was not having contractions. On examination, I have a yeast infection, and bacterial vaginosis. Also, I may have a uti, but the culture did not come back yet. I am taking Flagyl 500 mg bid and terazol cream at bedtime. I am really worried because I am still having the cramping. Plus I read that vaginosis can cause an infection in the amniotic fluid. How do they know if the baby has the infection or not. I have a dr. appt tomorrow am but I'd like any input. Thanks Shannon EDD 10/15
