After 12 hours of labor my daughter had a cesarean requiring a spinal. That was 10 months ago and she has had only 2 full nights sleep since. She wakes up with pain in her back in the lower rib cage area. She has also experienced loss of breath on some occasions. She is fine during waking hours but cannot make it longer that 4 hours at night. She is a hygienist and does not have pain while in that cleaning position. Over the last eight months she has seen her physician who prescribed x-rays and muscle relaxers she doubled the doses with little relief. then tried a different physician who suggested antidepressants. Next she sought relief from a chiropractor, then another chiropractor who suggested weight training for her oblique muscles. After 2 months of training she is still experiencing pain. She has also tried antacids, more supportive bras and nothing is giving her relief. Any suggestion for her?? Has anyone else had this experience following a cesarean? Is there literature where we could review the procedure used during a cesarean section?
