I can imagine how concerned you must be, and I hope that everything will
be OK. Your doctors will be able to give you the most accurate
information about your baby's condition, but I do have some info on
statistics that might help.
Percentiles are widely misunderstood. Being in 95th percentile means
that your baby's head is bigger than 95% of all NORMAL children, and
smaller than 5% of NORMAL children. It does not mean that there is
necessarily something wrong. Certainly it is a red flag that needs
investigation, but the key is that there are plenty of NORMAL babies
that have heads as big or even bigger than the head of your baby. Good
