Re: AM I STILL PREGNANT??PLEASE HELP!!!From: Mars (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 29 Jul 1999 14:44:00 -0500 (CDT)
Hi SM, You have the same initials as my sister, and she has a two year old daughter. Weird coincidence! What is your expected due date? Mine is 2/10/00. Anyway, just because you no longer feel pregnant doesn't mean you aren't! I know it can make you feel uneasy, the past two days I've felt better than I have in a looong time as well. Which is nice because last week was the worst for me as far as the throwing up goes! Could it be that you are further along than you think you are? Right about 12 weeks to 14 weeks I believe is where most women get releif from their pregnancy symptoms and get to enjoy the second trimester. :-) It can start early, or you may be farther along than you thought. My breasts have not enlarged yet either (thankfully!), but I wouldn't expect them to have had much change this soon. I have noticed an enlarged nipple and aereola, but yours probably hasn't changed because it already changed with your first pregnancy! Of course your body doesn't begin producing milk until much further along in the pregnancy. Since you have already produced milk for your first baby, not as much "preparation" needs to be done. I've not had very much breast discomfort at all, only for about two nights it felt like someone was pinching my breasts, and that was at around 8 weeks. Nothing else since, and I'm not complaining! LOL. My frequent urination has fortunately also subsided somewhat, not as good as it was pre-pregnancy. I think it is because the uterus is expanding and lifting up off our bladders, and that is combined with the general "getting used to" the changes and becomming better able to deal with them. The pain you are feeling could be ligaments. I can't tell you anything about my cervix because that is something I just don't check! So, all these things considered, even considering the lucky few women who have no other pregnancy symptoms than missed periods, I would say that as long as you're not bleeding, then you're STILL PREGNANT! :=) Good luck, and let us know how things are going for you! Mars (edd #1 2/10/00 after 5.5 yrs infertility)
