I know exactly how you feel. When I was 27 I was so ready to have kids,I wanted to start that day trying to become pregnant. But my husband was not ready at all!! This caused a lot of sadness and frustration on my part. Like you, I considered trying to conceive without his knowledge but in my heart I just couldn't deceive him like that. We ended up going to counseling on this and I found out that he wanted to wait until we were 35 to start trying and I was not willing to wait that long. Through counseling, we were able to come up with a compromise. We would wait until we were 31 to start trying. This was not preferred by either of us but was enough in the middle that it was acceptable. We are now 31 and trying. I would urge you to sit down with your husband and discuss why he is not ready. He probably has some very valid reasons. Then try to come up with a compromise that you can both live with. Even though it is worth it, having a child is difficult and stressful (from what I hear) and both partners need to be involved or it can cause serious strain on the marriage. I know it can make you very sad having to wait but in the long run, I think it will pay off. Good Luck. Sorry this is so long.
