Beth,

My Dr ENCOURAGED me to be going into the pool for exactly that reason. He said being in chest deep water will help keep the swelling down by forcing the excess fluid into the circulatory system. He said to try and do it for about 30 minutes. I ended up doing water aerobics (ALWAYS check with your Dr first) up until around 38 weeks.

I think the only thing your Dr would be concerned about would be that you were gettin' overheated if outside too long. I'm also bettin' that he wouldn't want you there if you thought your water had broken. But other than that, if you have any questions, I'd call the office, talk with a nurse and I'd bet she would also encourage it.

Good Luck.

Carolyn
