Bleeding from the wrong place!From: Nickie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 14 Jul 1999 11:36:43 -0500 (CDT)
When I have my period I bleed from my vagina but also from where I urinate from. I know this for a fact. No one would believe me so I wore a tampon and a pad. I had a lot of blood at the top of the pad. I was reading about endometriosis and I have almost all the symptoms I've found about it. I have heavy painful periods, low back pain, irregular periods that last a whole 7 days, a retroverted uterous, and I just had a ectopic pregnancy. My tube ruptured and had to have surgery on July 2nd. I told the doctor that did the surgery (The doctor that was on call at the hospital since it was emergency surgery) about the bleeding from the wrong place before the surgery so when he did the surgery he could look for anything out of the ordinary but I guess he didn't believe me either. What should I do? I told my doctor I was going to do the tampon thing next time I have a period and come to his office to prove it to him. I feel like this may be linked and if someone would have listened to me I may not have had the ectopic pregnancy. Have you ever heard of anything like this and do you think it may be from endometriosis?
