I actually did experience a miscarriage in 10/98 at 4.5 weeks. Mine started with just a gush of bright red blood and then some spotting - no cramping. I spotted lightly for 3 days and then woke up one morning with heavy bleeding and very bad cramping. However, in your case it seems the best way to know is to simply test your HCG levels which the doctors have done. If they are decreasing, this would be indicative of a mc. However, remember that many women bleed in early pregnancy. So, it is not always a sign that something is wrong (especially if there is no cramping - which you aren't experiencing). So, hold tight, the blood tests will answer your questions. I will be thinking of you.
