You have every right to know what, if anything, is wrong with your baby and what to expect at delivery. For Pete's sake, you are the baby's MOTHER!

If I were you I would call and make an appointment as soon as they can get you in and ask the doctor your questions. Let her know what the staff said in case it was told to you in error and the doctor needs to clear this up with the staff. Personally, if the doctor did not answer the questions to my satisfaction, I would not hesitate to find a replacement for her.

Keep in mind this is your health, your baby, and you have every right to be given information and not treated like a child.

I hope this doesn't sound harsh. I have had babies with anomalies and a wide variety of health care providers during my 5 pregnancies. I get more stressed when they try to hide information than if they are up front and honest. And a stressed mommy-to-be is no one to mess with. :)
