Re: contractions @ 31wks 4 daysFrom: rose (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 28 Jun 1999 19:23:38 -0500 (CDT)
I'm currently receiving NST twice weekly. I went last Thur. & the nurse administering the NST advised I had 3 contractions in a 15 minute period. Altogether I believe I had 6. She consulted an OB/Gyn (mine is on vacation) & I was given Brethine (correct spelling?) & monitored additionally. My question is there anything to be alarmed about just from this one incident? Incidentally my fluid level is fine. I'm getting tested due to prior IUGR & oligohydramnios. I do seem to be having more painful contractions occassionally. I noticed on a two hour trip this weekend I had some that lasted a minute or more. Also I'm having some menstrual-like cramps. Anything to be concerned about? I see another OB/Gyn this Wednesday. Just wondering if this is potentially serious. I'm now 32 wks 1 day. Thanks!
