Yes. The pregnancy tests detect hcg (human chorionic gonadotropin) in your urine. The levels may not be high enough for your test to pick up - yet. Tests vary in their sensitivity.

Yep, bleeding in early pregnancy is not uncommon.

If you are unsure, go to the doc and have a blood serum test run. It detects the same hormone as the urine test but is more sensitive.
