Personally, as a former high risk OB patient, I *would* make a stink over this. It is true that not much can be done at this point, but by 8 weeks, you should be able to see a heartbeat and if you are concerned about that, it would be reassuring.

What really matters is whether or not *you* are comfortable with waiting that long and if your insurance company will cover visits before then.
