For now unfortunately you will have to be patient. They always had a horrible time picking mine up too until much later like 15-16 weeks. Sometimes if the uterus is tipped back a bit it makes it hard to find. Also the uterus is still in the pelvis area way low so its harder to detect until the uterus moves up and out of that area. The only thing I question is why they would torture you after hunting for the heart beat, not finding it and then send you home without the reassurance of an u/s. Whenever they could not find it via doppler on me they let me have a quick scan. Every Dr does things differently but I think it is insensitive on their part not to give you another method for piece of mind. I guess I am just lucky because my Drs never said things like insurance won't pay for an extra scan. They did mine for no charge if it was for a quick heartbeat detection.

Good Luck maybe next time they can find it for you.
