No heartbeat at 14wFrom: Gali (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 24 Jun 1999 09:56:07 -0500 (CDT)
Hi, After dealing with infertility, I finally got pregnant on April. I had an u/s on week 8, which showed 1 embryo. We could see it moving and heard its heartbeat (which was amazing!). I had a prenatal appointment with my obgyn today, at 14 weeks. He tried to pick the heartbeat using a doppler, but couldn't find it. He said I shouldn't worry, since it's a little early to hear. I, however, am worried, since from what I've heard you can usually hear the heartbeat around 12w. BTW - I'm overweight, but not really fat, so I'm not sure this is the reason :) Is there a need to worry, or should I just be more patient? Thanks, Gali
