I've asked a lot of questions the last few months and received lots of answers! I just wanted to say thanks to all those that took the time to respond!! The end result is a healthy baby boy born last Thursday at 37 weeks after 5 hours of labor. My water never broke and the doc ended up doing it at about 9.5 cm. The baby was 8 pounds 7 oz. The only "complication" was that the OB had to use forceps to get him out, so he has little "skid marks" on his cheeks. We are both doing well, although baby is a little jaundiced. The ped is seeing him regularly to make sure it starts improving in a reasonable timeframe. So, there shouldn't be any more pregnancy questions from me (okay -- maybe a couple of post-partum questions will be necessary!!). I just wanted to say thanks to everyone, especially the medical professionals, who provided their expertise and support during this time. Thanks!! Andrea
