It could mean nothing -- there can be some spotting and cramping associated with implantation and also around the time of an expected period. It could mean an impending miscarriage or a tubal pregnancy.

See your gynecologist. Blood tests may be done to determine if you are still pregnant and, in conjunctin with an ultrasound, where the pregnancy is.
