Miscarriages early in pregnancy are very common -- about 20% of known pregnancies end in miscarriage -- and if you take into accoount all those that happen before a woman has even done a test, it's close to 50% of all conceptions. While this information will not take away your pain of losing a wanted pregnancy, I hope you can find some comfort in knowing you are not alone. The vast majority of the time, after a miscarriage a woman will go on to have a normal pregnancy. I had 2 miscarriages and now am the mother of hte most wonderful, beautiful and brilliant 6.5 month old daughter. Best wishes for a happy ending for you, too.
