Do you feel that I should still push to be seen, or wait a few days and see if the symptoms go away? Appreciate your feedback....

I think you are OK to wait and see how you feel with the antibiotics unless the pain would get worse. As I said the other thing that can happen is the uterus can obstruct or put lots of pressure on the ureter and that can be very painful because urine backs up behind this. I'm glad you followed through and saw your OB right away. Remember to drink plenty of fluids. If there is a possibilty you could develop a taste for cranberry juice this would be great too. Kidneys like that stuff alot. Helps prevent infections. Best of luck and remember, when you are pregnant or any other time, if you have concerns, never hesitate to get in touch with your health care providers. That's what we are here for and if you ever feel they are "blowing you off" and you are still genuinely concerned, be persistent. All of us are human. Even docs and nurses sometimes don't get the whole picture you are trying to convey. Never hurts to explain so everyone is on the same wavelength. I always appreciate it if I have misunderstood what someone is trying to tell me. Sorry for the soapbox. I just really want us to be able to understand what pts are trying to tell us, and that pts believe they have the right to challenge the instructions they are given if they think they have been misunderstood.
