Amitriptyline and pregnancy

Hello,

I am wondering if anyone has information on the safety of taking a low dose (20mg daily) of amitriptyline while pregnant. I will be trying to conceive in about a month. I take the amitriptyline for chronic pain from endometriosis and irritable bowel. My doctor said it was fine, but the pharmacist had information that suggested it shouldn't be taken (at least at higher doses anyway). Thanks to anyone who might have an informed opinion.

Holly
