I will tell you what I tell all my patients with this problem. With a normal Ultrasound (ie normal crown-rump measurement, normal yolk sac and fetal heart beat), you have a 95% chance of not miscarrying. That means 5% will still loose their child. My best advice is to follow your ob's orders as far as rest and recuperation, and hope (pray) for the best. I will you the best of luck. As far as the hcg rise, it is only useful in early pregnancies, and there may be some difference if a different lab was used.
