Question about bleeding & pregnancyFrom: Beth (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 12 Jun 1999 18:29:44 -0500 (CDT)
I'm 6w5d pregnant. Today after intercourse I started having bright red vaginal bleeding. It didn't alarm me at first because I know cervical abrasions can occur. It's been almost 4 hours and I'm still bleeding. I haven't noticed any cramps, and I have had one small clot. I don't want to panic, but I'm wondering if I should call my doctor, or just lie down & wait it out. The bleeding is bright red, light, and continuous. It's not heavy like a normal period. Is there anything I or my doctor can do if this is the beginning of a miscarriage? I'm getting more scared by the minute because the bleeding isn't stopping. Thanks in advance
