And would this classify as a high risk >pregnancy needing special care. Thank you. Cycles can be irregular right after delivery, but a pregnancy test is a good idea. If she is pregnant, there are some risks to both mom and baby -- mom will be pretty run down as she hasn't yet come close to recovering from baby #1; she's more likely to be anemic. There is also a higher risk of preterm labor and low birthweight with baby #2. If your wife is pregnant she must be especially careful about taking good care of herself -- an extra healthy diet and plenty of rest are vital. My baby is 6 months old and I cannot imagine having another one in 9 months! If your wife is pregnant, I hope baby #1 is sleeping through the night and that you are a candidate for husband of the year (ie, you cook, clean and change dirty diapers in hte middle of the night)
