I would be concerned that whatever caused the left tube to become blocked may also affect the right tube.
Thus far, nada. What are
>my risks of a tubal pregnancy with a blocked tube and should I seek You are at increased risk for an ectopic pregnancy if hte right tube, while open on HSG 6 months ago, is damaged. I would suggest a consultaion with a reproducitve endocrinologist after 20 months of trying with no luck.
Am I only ovulating
>every other month as a result of one tube being blocked? No -- you'll ovulate (or not, as the case may be) every month regardless of whter your tubes -- or uterus -- are there at all. The ovaries do thier own thing without any help from the tubes.
Should I be
>concerned about my health or my future baby's health with a blocked Assuming you get pregnant and it's in hte uterus, there should be no consequences to the baby. As far as you, if your tubes re blocked due to endometriosis, that may lead to infertility (well, you are there already -- no conception after 12 months of unprotected intercourse is by definition infertility) or chronic pain. It does NOT increase the risk of things like cancer!
I keep getting the typical brush off from my doctor, telling me to
>"just give it time". I'd tell him "just give me my records" and go see another doctor -- I would recommend a reproductive endocrinologist (infertility specialist) Best of luck to you -- motherhood is worth the wait!
