Blocked Fallopian TubeFrom: Rebecca (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 10 Jun 1999 14:55:49 -0500 (CDT)
My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for 20 months now. 6 months ago I had a HYSTEROSALPINGOGRAM and was told that my left fallopian tube is blocked. My doctor said I shouldn't have any concerns about it, and that I can still get pregnant. Thus far, nada. What are my risks of a tubal pregnancy with a blocked tube and should I seek another opinion regarding having the tube cleared? Am I only ovulating every other month as a result of one tube being blocked? Should I be concerned about my health or my future baby's health with a blocked tube? I keep getting the typical brush off from my doctor, telling me to "just give it time".
