Pregnancy after two lossesFrom: caroline (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 8 Jun 1999 08:03:46 -0500 (CDT)
I am forty years old and just learned that I am pregnant - about 5-1/2 weeks LMP. I have had two previous pregnancies in the past year - I had a blighted ovum / miscarriage last July at 7 weeks, and premature rupture of membranes last December at 17 weeks and had a D&E on my doctor's recommendation (no amniotic fluid). On the second pregnancy, there were no chromosomal abnormalities. My doctors say these are unrelated "bad luck" incidences - have had testing done showing no abnormalities or other likely causes. My question - is there anything I can do/ should not be doing? I am taking it rather easy - drinking a lot of fluid - and generally trying to watch things. But I am risking the pregnancy by, for example, walking the dog for twenty minutes or so (he doesn't pull)? I am obviously very nervous about this but am trying not to go over the edge. Thanks! Caroline
