They sent me for a level2 ultasound at 29 wks and she was diagnosed with Adult Polycystic Kidney disease. This apparently runs in my husbands family..I am not trying to scare you..just give you a possibility. APKD runs in families so unless someone else in the family has it, it will not be the problem in your case.I was also told by my doctor before this diagnosis was made that it could just be a blockage in the uro-genital tract that would resolve itself. There are apparently a few reasons for large kidneys in a fetus..don't stress too much until your daughter in law has more tests run.
