Starting Clomid tomorrow, CD2, and will TTC this cycle. Husband came down with a virus and fever. Does this mean the cycle is a bust?...

I had D&Cs on Dec. 2 and March 15 for missed miscarriages. I have finished a testing cycle and my RE has put me on aspirin for low positive LAC and low positive phospholipid AB IGMs. I'll be starting Clomid (100 mg) tomorrow on CD 2 and will take progesterone supplements in luteal phase, as well as an HCG shot. (Since I ovulate, I'm not exactly sure what the HCG shot is for.) The Clomid and progesterone are for luteal phase defect.

My 16 month old daughter had a virus this week that included a fever for 3 days and she still has a sore throat, which is almost better. Her temp is now normal. Her ped. said it is a virus going around that causes little canker-like spots on the throat, and that it isn't serious. I've been taking care of her.

Tonight my husband said his throat feels a little sore and he has a fever of 101. He took an ibuprofin and went to bed.

Does my husband having a fever and virus the week before TTC mean we shouldn't TTC this month? Will the fever or virus damage the sperm or cause birth defects?

What about if I come down with this some time between now and mid-cycle?

I'm really upset about this. It took so long to get to this point. We were so happy today when my cycle started because it meant we could try again. Next month would have been the due date for the first one I miscaried, and we hoped to be testing positive again by that time. But I don't want to TTC if I am risking birth defects or another miscarriage.
