Re: 18.4 weeks and lack of fetal movement with anterior placenta...

I just read an archived question concerning this topic. Dr. Hill responded that it is usually no problem unless the patient has had a previous c-section. He mention that it can cause placenta accretia. Is this something that can be diagnosed prior to delivery? My last full-term baby was a c-section (22 months ago).

I am not worried about this but just curious as to when this can be detected.

Thanks again.

Hi,

Could you tell me what itmeans when the placenta is anterior? I know that the placenta is in front of the baby but is it covering my whole uterus at this point? How big does the baby have to be in order to feel it kick through the placenta?

Also, as the uterus grows up what happens with the palcenta? Does it grow along with it or can it slip down and cover the cervix?

Thanks.
