post partum questionFrom: Christine (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 2 Jun 1999 23:03:12 -0500 (CDT)
I am 24 days post partum with my second child (successful VBAC I am so happy!) I had a very rapid labor and due to my baby's difficulty coing during the pushing stage my OB wanted my baby delivered quickly and delivered him via forceps. (c-section would have resulted if it hadn't been successful) It resulted in a 3rd degree episiotomy as well as a tear. I had bad hemorroids during the pg which worsed with all the pushing. Recovery was difficult and painful but over 3 weeks later and I feel pressure down there if I am on my feet too long, run or cough/sneeze. can you tell me what maybe causing this sensation? I guess I may just be worrying about a prolapsed uterus...is that possible? I don't go for my post partum check for another 3 weeks. Thank you, Christine
