Which way should the baby be facing? From: AMD (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 2 Jun 1999 19:22:03 -0500 (CDT)
At my 35 week check today, I asked the nurse practitioner which way the baby was facing (anterior or posterior). She said that right now, he was neither, kind of sideways (but head down). Also, 2 cm dilated, 50% effaced, -1 station. When does the baby usually settle into position for delivery? Can the baby be delivered vaginally facing sideways, or do they always turn one way or the other during labor? Thanks, Andrea EDD 7/7/99
