It's likely that you have a small leak around (on the outside) of the water bag. If so, it usually stops leaking and everything is fine. However, you may actually have a leak in the water bag, which is an extremely serious situation this early in pregnancy. If one of my patients called me with the history you gave, I would have her meet me at the hospital ASAP and I would perform a thorough evaluation for a possible broken water bag.

I would strongly suggest that you not try to figure this out at home. It is a potentially serious situation and your doctor will be happy you called so he or she can look in to it.
