granulation tissue?From: AMD (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 18 May 1999 11:57:41 -0500 (CDT)
My SIL had a c/s on March 8. She had a nasty wound infection a couple weeks later that landed her in the hospital. The wound is still healing, but now her doctor says she has granulation tissue in the wound. What is this? Is it dangerous or a sign of poor healing? At what point during this process should she consider a second opinion regarding the infection? If she wants a 2nd, should she see another OB, a general surgeon, or some other specialist? Thanks, Andrea
