Nervousness during pregnancy?From: Cindy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 18 May 1999 08:01:38 -0400
Hi, I am currently 16.1 weeks pregnant with my fourth child (fifth pregnancy). I had a miscarriage in Sept. I have had a very difficult pregnancy so far (hyperthyroid, hyperemesis, tachycardia, and depression) and am having a difficult time relaxing. I have breast tenderness still so that reassures me that things are ok (right?!). I felt the baby move a couple of times a week ago but nothing since. I'm guessing the nervousness stems from not feeling regular fetal movement. I know not to worry until 20 weeks but... I am wondering how you deal with patients who worry a lot? How can I convince myself that lack of fetal movement on a daily basis at this point is common? I know I never worried with my other pregnancies. I guess I have the fear of losing another pregnancy. Thank you for reading my message. Cindy
