Possible hyper-fecundity?From: Andrea (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 15 May 1999 13:40:26 -0500 (CDT)
Dear Sirs, we had two pregnacies in the last months: A) .last menstruation on 15th July 1998 .pregnancy started at the first or second day of attempt (21-3rd July) .pregnancy stopped spontaneously mid-september .no cytogenetic examen on the embryo was made B) .last menstruation on 19th November 1998 .pregnancy started at the first and sole attempt (2nd December) .pregnancy stopped spontaneously mid-January .the result of the cytogenetic examen on the embryo: 46, X, -X, +20 (only one X and trisomy 20) We're checking our chariotype, but we were told such a result was probably accidental. Is it possible we've a hyper-fecundity that hampers the spermatozoa (or ovules) selection? Please tell us what we might do and where we can find further informations. Thank you very much
