The Depo-Provera shot will provide contraception for 3 months only, but after that you are on your own. It is true that it does not wear off on a reliable schedule, and a very few women will not resume ovulation for as long as a year after the last shot, but the vast majority will begin long before that. Having said that, if your pregnancy test is negative, your symptoms are likely to reflect your bodies struggle to shake of the last effects of the shot, and resume ovulation. Take the test.
