Re: c-section still healing?

I can't answer specifically for a c-section, but had the same thing happen to one of my gall bladder incisions. I looked down and there was a hole! Yuck(my husband thought it was hilarious)! Dr. packed it and explained that these incisions need to heal from the inside. If he were just to resuture it a pocket could form under the healed skin, leading to future infection (husband didn't think it was quite so funny when he found out he would have to clean and pack it twice a day!). Sounds like the same thing applies to your sis-in-law. I'm sure the Doctors on the list will be giving us some good info on this! Valerie Austin
