walking during pregnancyFrom: AMD (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 5 May 1999 17:25:21 -0500 (CDT)
My hubby and I were talking and he mentioned that he was going to start taking the dog for a walk in the evenings. I told him that that would probably be a great thing for us to do as a family and it would be good for all of us. He shocked me when he said that he didn't think it would be a good idea for me to go since I was getting "so close" -- I'm 31 weeks! Everything I've read indicates walking is excellent exercise during pregnancy. Did I miss the part that warns against walking in the last trimester? I have had no warnings or restrictions from my doctor, so I assumed I could anything I feel up to doing. This is weird since my husband is not the type to encourage coddling just because I'm pregnant. Is he just being goofy, or is there a good reason to not go for a walk now? Thanks, Andrea edd 7/7
